SOLACE is a new performance by NYC choreographer and journalist Garnet Henderson that uses the ecology and community of Inwood Hill Park as inspiration. The dancers will move to a live soundtrack created by their own bodies, the park, and their own movement. They will perform from a variety of vantage points, so flexibility is essential. In addition to a contract, the dancers will be compensated weekly.
Millennium Dance Complex
The Millennium Dance Complex is known worldwide as the premiere studio for commercial dance. The Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Gardens announce an open call for its Performing Arts Salon Saturdays (PASS) artist residency. The Garden invites applications for four (4) residencies. PASS aims to support the creation of new works in dance, theater, music, and multi-disciplinary performance. Applications for the residency are due by March 31, 2017.
Synergy Dance Company
